In the annals of sport, there might not be a more culturally significant partnership than the one formed in the 1980s between Nike and a young college grad named Michael Jordan. MJ’s first Nike contract would go on to alter the history of both parties involved, and it’s celebrated now, over three decades later, with this deluxe black-and-white Air Jordan XXXI, constructed from a combination of leather and Flyweave. The color palette recalls the prosaic appearance of ink on paper, and MJ’s looping signature is writ large underneath the shoe’s translucent outsole.
Air Jordan XXX1 Fine Print
Color: Black/White-Wolf Grey
Up close, the Fine Print deserves consideration given its classic and stylish look. This Air Jordan 31 might be JB’s “finest” colorway yet with its sleek Black and White construction. Why, Jordan Brand decided to go all out by giving the Fine Print a premium Black leather build paired with a Flyweave knit upper. The Swoosh branding got the Flyweave treatment too with a gradient feel that is very striking.
More than that, the White Jumpman branding on one side is very stark against the black backdrop. JB also added the original Air Jordan Wings logo on the other side to complete the awesomeness of the Fine Print Air Jordan XXX1. As a final touch, they went with a clear translucent outsole to showcase MJ’s signature. Of course, the midsole has to be white to perfectly show off the Black Jumpman and signature.
